Class Schedule

  • Taking measurements and choosing the right size, pattern placement and transferring markings, cutting technique.
  • To use overlocker and sewing machine stretch stitches, needles and equipment selection for knit fabrics.
  • Sew cuffs, waist band, elastic casing and drawstring.

Pattern Design: A must-have staple item for those times when you need the perfect balance of casual and cool. Slim leg sweat pants with elasticated waist, drawstring and side pockets. Can be made full or knee length.

The patterns cover Hip Measurements from 88cm to 118cm, Waist Measurements from 62cm to 92cm.  Please email us if your measurements is outside this range and we will grade a pattern ready for your workshop.

Notes on supplies: Medium weight jersey fabrics are perfect.  It is essential you choose a two-way stretch. Also your pants will retain their shape if there is 5-10% of lycra/nylon/elstain/etc in the fabric. Ensure For directional prints, large prints and fabrics with nap you purchase extra fabric. For best results - pre-wash your fabric to reduce shrinkage.
