Description

Grow your crochet knowledge and connect online with other creative people. Learn to combine stitches and create clusters, work only part of stitches or the front/back. Over three weekly one hour workshops, you will learn:

  1. Ribbed stitch,
  2. Star stitch, and 
  3. Sedge stitch.

Each pattern is extremely versatile and could make washcloths, make-up removers, coasters, soap savers, place matts, scarves, or even blankets.

Over the three weekly workshops, you will receive class notes that will provide you with a reference tool and your patterns.

What you will learn
  • Learn the rib stitch, sedge stitch, & star stitch (also called Marguerite or spiked cluster)
  • We'll cover: treble and half treble, working in back loops, weaving in ends
  • Refresher only for these stitches: slip knot, foundation chain, double crochet, slip stitch & fastening off
What you will get
  • Detailed class instructions to make all your items
  • A workshop teacher and a host for workshop groups with 4 or more participants
  • Step-by-step instructions, demonstrations and the opportunity to ask questions

What to bring
  • 8 or 10ply yarn (the samples in our photographed backgrounds was made in Morris & Sons Avalon Cotton, 8 ply; Flint, Smokey Quartz, & Graphite)
  • 4 or 5mm crochet hook, scissors/snips, yarn needle
  • Optional - stitch markers (safety pin or contrasting yarn can work just as well)

Hook & Yarn Tips:

Hooks with rubber handles are more comfortable. Avoid black yarn, it's harder to see stitches.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refunding Your Booking

  • All refunds are subject to a 25% administration fee.
  • Refunds will only be processed back to the original method of payment.
  • Refunds are processed as soon as practicable. While Thread Den’s part of the process should be undertaken within three days of notice, the combination of the bookings platform and your banking institution’s processes will also influence the exact amount of time taken for you to receive the refund.

Cancelling Your Booking

  • If you no longer wish to attend a workshop, we require notice at least 24 hours or more prior to commencement. It is essential that you receive acknowledgment from us as well.
  • The Refund Policy will be applied.
  • No refund, transfer or credit will be supplied if you have made a cancellation request the day before, the day of, or any time after a course start.

Transferring Your Booking

  • If you wish to transfer your booking to another workshop we require at least fourteen days notice prior to the start date of your original booking.
  • Bookings without date changes can be transferred to another person without incurring any penalties.
  • Changes to your workshop, or the commencement date (within all other terms) will incur a $10 administration fee.
  • Changes to your booking date will not reset the fourteen day notice period.

For face-to-face workshop s - if you feel unwell, do not attend your workshop. With supply of a medical certificate or COVID-19 testing referral covering the date of your workshop you will be able to transfer your booking without incurring any penalties.

Medical Events

  • Your safety is our priority, we reserve the right to make decisions if necessary to preserve the safety of all. 
  • If you feel unwell, do not attend your workshop. With supply of a medical certificate or copy of a COVID-19 testing referral you will be able to transfer your booking without incurring any penalties.
  • In the event of a medical emergency we may have to seek ambulance services on your behalf and at your expense.

Course Cancellations 

  • Classes are subject to sufficient enrolment numbers.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled course. In the event of a cancellation, students will be notified two days before the scheduled start date and refunds will be provided.

This was a great online course. I really enjoyed learning new stitches. The notes were good and the teacher was very patient and adept at explaining how to do the stitches.

I adored this class taught by Amy! I learnt three new awesome stitches with a group of lovely ladies and had so much fun during each class. The only thing that could have gone better was having more classes!!
