Description

This workshop has been designed for students in Years 3 - 6

Be transported to 'The Land of Imagination' where the choices you make lead you (and your characters ) into a labyrinth of creative possibilities.

'The Land of Imagination' is under attack. Soon all of your favourite fictional characters and their magical stories will be destroyed unless you can save the day! What heroic character will you bring to life? How will your hero save the day?

If you love creating characters and plotting action-packed stories, then you've come to the right place. This writing workshop focuses on combining the essential elements of narrative writing: style, setting, character and plot to create a quest style story in a fantasy setting. You will use an original set of adventure cards I  have designed to lead you through the storytelling process. The decisions you make and the options you choose, determine exactly how your adventure story unfolds. You'll also explore how to plan a quest story from beginning to end! I'll introduce a simple process to make planning your story easy and fun! There really is no better way to see how the elements of a story come together than to be fully immersed in the process.

25 January 2016 • Holiday Writing Fun: Choose Your Own Adventure!

I learnt how to make characters and how to make a problem for my story. My favourite part was creating my character and writing my story, I also enjoyed making new friends and listening to their ideas.
