Message from Luke -
Hello, my names Luke and I’m raising money for people living with multiple sclerosis.
Since losing my mum early this year it’s been my wish to help people in honour of Mum. Mum was the most selfless person I’ve ever met and I want to carry on in her honour.
I’ll be joining in the fun of the MS Walk Run Roll (virtual) on the weekend of the 17th of October. Unfortunately my dear friend was diagnosed back in 2017. This is her story.

“In October 2017 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This may come as a shock for many friends & some family. I found out about my MS because I had lost the sight in my right eye & found myself in the Melbourne Eye & Ear hospital being treated for Optic Neuritis. This can often be linked to MS and so whilst in hospital they ran MRI’s to check for lesions on the spine & brain. Thanks to the help & treatment of the amazing team at the Eye & Ear hospital I was able to regain 80% of my vision in the right eye. Two weeks later I was given my diagnosis of MS and told from the number of lesions on the brain & spine I had most likely had MS for sometime.
This is not just a cause that I have jumped on the back of a band wagon for, its personal! I might look & act the same but MS has impacted my life & whilst I can hide it now I might not be able to hide it forever as my health & body slowly is disintegrating. People with MS, my community are strong even when our bodies & minds aren’t!!!
#worldmsday #supportingmycommunity #itspersonal #opticneuritis “

MS Org’s mission is to help people live their lives with multiple sclerosis and provide them with the best long term options and outcomes, while the search for a cure continues.

Your donations and attendance to the event is greatly appreciated and will go far. I’ll post on the event page where exactly your money will be going and how it helps people.
