Because who needs needles, right?

The Art of Arm Knitting

It all started with the oversized knit blankets that became all the rage on Pinterest and YouTube; and millennial crafters have since jumped in on the chunky knit bandwagon. The technique behind this new DIY trend is called arm knitting, which really is just like regular knitting, except your arms are your needles. Or your needles are your arms. You knit using your arms!

Anyway, it’s not hard to see why millennials are suddenly all over arm knitting. It combines all things that they love: It’s handmade, provides instant gratification, and is definitely Instagram-worthy. Truly, this fast and fun hobby lives up to the hype; all you need is yarn and you can easily make a plethora of lovely, cosy items, such as scarves, shawls, blankets, and more.

If you’re too impatient for good ole fashioned knitting or crocheting, try your hand (or your arms even) at this popular trend at Work-Shop’s new class, ‘The Art of Arm Knitting’. Participants of the class will work with a luxurious 100% hand-dyed chunky wool and come up with a stylish infinity cowl or long scarf, even without knitting skills.

The Art of Arm Knitting runs on July 4th, Wednesday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Book now or find out more about the class in the link below.
