Sublime Italian at Trupp Cooking School
Turn simple ingredients into fantastic gourmet dishes a la Italia
The next time you feel a hankering for a good, old-fashioned Italian dinner, imagine if you can just head over to your own kitchen. Start off with jellied Mediterranean vegetables with sardines and salsa verde, followed by your choice of pasta con pancetta or squid ink spaghetti. Finish off with burned wine cream with stracciatella ice cream. Absolutely delish.
Come to Trupp Cooking School and learn how to prepare all that Italian goodness and more. Whether you’re a kitchen newbie or a confident gourmet chef, there’s always something new to learn. Plus, the school is located just within a block of the Prahran Market - the best source of the freshest ingredients in the district.
Starting his career in Austria (where he opened a restaurant when he was only 21) before moving to London and now, Melbourne, Walter Trupp has traveled the world to whip up dish after three-hat dish. Italian cooking is one of his favourite classes to teach, because it brings together a wide variety of ingredients - from fish and meats to pastas and aromatic vegetables, balsamic and olive oils.
A fantastic teacher, good company (Trupp Cooking School has so far turned out five MasterChef competitors, after all), plus a cookbook to take home. Doesn’t that sound like the best cooking class ever?
