
Learn to Draw Rapid Caricatures
Description
In this four week short course, Phil Bowler will teach you the basics of how to draw caricatures which are fun exaggerated portraits. Phil is a professional caricature artist, in high demand at weddings, corporate events and large gatherings where he brings a smile to everyone's face.
You will learn:
- How to decide on the shape of the face.
- How to pick the features which define the person.
- How to draw the features.
- What to exaggerate and what to minimise and much more!
At the end of this course and with practice, you will be on the path to making lots of people happy with a new found skill.
Note:
- Parking is available in the car park opposite or in the adjacent streets.
- Places are strictly limited.
- In the unlikely event that the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollments a week prior to the first class, fees will be refunded in full.

- You will need A4 white paper, Pencil (2B or 4B), Eraser, Black fine liner and Black sharpie pro texta or similar.

The Box Hill Art Group Inc. was established in 1952 and since then it has nurtured many thousands of budding artists, as well as stretching the skills of experienced and exhibiting artists.
Moreover, we cater for watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, drawing, life drawing and mixed media.
We also offer our member’s access to lessons, paint outs, art demonstrations, competitions, exhibitions and arts awards.
The Box Hill Art Group will open up a whole new colourful world for you to enjoy.
Our membership
Membership is open to anyone between 16 and 116 years of age. Whether you are just starting out in painting or drawing or have been doing it for years you will love being a part of this group, meeting with like minded people to express yourself visually.

If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
- A transfer can be requested anytime before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Terms & Conditions
Transfers for classes that cannot be attended need to be made up within the same term.
Non members are entitled to only purchase ONE single $30 tutored class. All additional purchases require the participant to become a member of the Box Hill Art Group. This condition excludes Life Drawing sessions and one day workshops which are open to everyone.
Memberships are not transferable to other people. Class payments are not transferable to other members.
