Summer School 25: Yarn Creation, Weaving & Felting
Description
Join Liz Mitchell as she invites you to join her wool loving community of enthusiasts in this four-day workshop navigating yarn creation, weaving and wet felting with just a foam board and natural fibres.
With the intention of deepening the understanding of wool and its qualities, participants will experience the hands-on processes of yarn creation, spinning, off-loom weaving, and both wet and needle felting. The end result will be a woven, felted square tile, as seen in the Homestead Galleries exhibition This Raw Material, and a newfound or heightened appreciation for the joys of wool.
Taking place in Liz's Textile Hub right here at Corban Estate, beginners through to experts are all welcome.
