We LOVE LOVE LOVE Gelli Printing

Gelli Plates are an amazing easy way to create beautiful handmade papers and backgrounds for artworks - especially collage and backgrounds for larger works. There is something special about creating your own handmade marks and papers to assemble into original pieces of art.

Printing with Geli Plate is Great Fun and so easy once you know how!.

In this creative workshop  with Lorna you will play with found and organic shapes, and mark making tools and objects to create a one off series of prints.  Use them as a stand alone artwork to frame or as a series to collage into our - Collage Assembly Class the following week, where you will be shown how to assemble and create beautiful stand alone artworks

You will learn how to layer with colour and texture and fun in the process.  You will also be shown the other possibilities and how to apply this printmaking technique to other applications and surfaces which you can continue at home with minimal investment.

SOME MATERIALS SUPPLIED - BYO LUNCH

You will have to supply your own Geli Plate and a Brayer and a few acrylic paints.

Oxlades sell the Geli Plates and Brayers in their Shop in Bungalow - suggest you call and make sure they re in stock

We will be working on an 8x10 inch gel plate and a brayer which you will need to bring or purchase

This workshop is Suitable for complete beginners to the more experienced creative individual looking for a refresher and our aim is to ensure you leave our workshop feeling confident to carry on the process at home or in your creative space :)
