*Suitable for Intermediate to Advanced Throwers
Never will you accept tea from a store bought teapot again!
Fun filled and busy 2 days that will of course include many laughs, lots of chatter and possibly new friendships, are you up for it?
In this workshop, master potter Ian (Ox) McColl will teach you how to throw various styles of teapots, spouts and handles to design and make a teapot of your own. The workshop will involve quite detailed demonstrations of all steps and designs, and of course your practical application. Guidance and 'fun poking' will also be on hand throughout your experience to ensure that you leave smiling and have a bunch of new skills and hopefully one or two new teapots ready to glaze and fire!
Design, throwing and preparing will be included in the first day, with trimming, assembly and final touches taking place on the second day.
The workshop will run over 3 hours with a break for a delicious afternoon tea, which will be supplied (so please inform us of any dietary requirements) and coffee and tea will be available throughout the day.
