- Discover creative ways to showcase and utilize flowers from your own garden.
- Learn simple techniques to transform everyday blooms into stunning, nature-inspired designs.
- Gain insights into the philosophy of ikebana, embracing harmony, simplicity, and the beauty of nature.
This is more than a workshop—it’s an opportunity to see your garden in a new light and connect with nature through a meaningful and artistic practice. Whether you’re a garden lover or simply curious about Japanese floral art, this experience is for you!
A Little Story Behind Ikebana:Did you know that in ancient Japan, people believed every part of nature was sacred, with over eight million nature gods (yaoyorozu no kami)? Flowers and plants were considered tools to communicate with these gods, fostering a deep admiration for the natural world. Ikebana grew from this tradition, offering a way to honor and connect with nature through thoughtful and respectful design.
Bring along a favorite container or small vase—something simple like a tumbler or a bowl—and let’s create something truly beautiful together.
By visiting the grower directly we are able to utilise this unique flower – a rare treat!
