Breaking Bread


If bread is your passion, this intensive one-day class is your gateway to mastering the craft. Guided by an expert baker, you'll learn the foundational principles of bread baking, from understanding ingredients and formulas to exploring the stages of dough production and construction. This hands-on experience introduces a range of basic to advanced doughs and baking techniques including kneading and rolling. Ideal for both beginners and experienced bakers keen to refine their skills.

A light lunch is provided, and you’ll take home all the bread you bake during the class. Completion also earns you a digital certificate of attendance.

  • Weekday and Weeknight Courses: Enter via Building A, 555 La Trobe Street, Melbourne. Signage will guide you.
  • Weekend Courses: Enter via the Angliss Restaurant foyer, 550 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Staff will assist you.
  • Public Transport: Close to Flagstaff and Southern Cross stations. Multiple tram routes service La Trobe Street.
  • Parking: Public metered parking nearby and off-street parking options include Wilsons Parking (Southern Cross), Melbourne Care Park, and Ace Parking.
