You’ll work with modern propagation tools and equipment, explore a variety of stock plants, and practise time-tested methods that have been used for generations. This course focuses on building confidence and transferable skills so you can successfully establish and maintain new plant life throughout the seasons.

Propagation allows you to produce plants affordably, fill garden spaces faster, and nurture plants from their very beginnings. The course adapts seasonally to ensure relevance and practical application all year round.

Course Content

• Propagation methods: seeds, cuttings (leaf, stem, rhizome & root) and division.
• The 8 easy steps to sowing seed and transplanting seedlings.
• Propagation mixes, nutrition, watering, care and maintenance.
• Stem cuttings: soft-tip, herbaceous, semi-hardwood and hardwood techniques.
• Leaf and fleshy stem propagation methods.
