Join the global craze in the most creative way possible at Samford Potters Collective. In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll dive into the magical world of character sculpting – no plastic toys here, just pure clay fun.
Under the guidance of our friendly and experienced instructor, you’ll learn:
- Joining techniques to build your character securely
- Sculpting skills to shape quirky faces, pointy ears, and wild hairstyles
- Texturing & decorating tips to bring your Clayfufu’s personality to life
- Underglazing to add colour and style before we glaze and double-fire it to keep it durable for years to come.
We include everything you need: quality clay, sculpting tools, access to our massive underglaze wall, plus tea, coffee, and a sweet treat to keep the creative energy flowing.
The best part? Your Claybubu will be 100% original – no two creatures will be alike! From cute and cuddly to mischievous and wacky, you decide who your Clayfufu wants to be.

At Samford Potters Collective, our team of talented instructors are not only highly skilled in all aspects of working with clay but are also passionate about sharing their knowledge. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, inclusive, and relaxed environment where everyone – from complete beginners to seasoned potters – feels supported and inspired.

The Samford Potters Collective is a new custom-built pottery studio located just 25 km from the heart of Brisbane city and sits in the beautiful green hills of Camp Mountain (Samford).
We believe that pottery is a timeless craft that can be enjoyed by all. We offer a variety of workshops, weekly classes, and wheel classes for beginner to advanced levels, private events, and more. Our full-service pottery studio has everything you need to get started on your pottery journey.
We are passionate about creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for our students and members. Our team of experienced potters and instructors are always on hand to provide guidance and advice every step of the way.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 3 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$50.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 1 day before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$50.00 applies.
- A credit note can be requested 3 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
Terms & Conditions
Samford Potters Collective – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all workshops, classes, and events (“Services”) provided by Samford Potters Collective. By booking or participating in any of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings and Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Bookings are non-transferable unless approved in writing by Samford Potters Collective.
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
2. Cancellations and Refund Policy
Cancellations made up to three (3) days prior to the scheduled workshop or class will incur a $50 cancellation fee per ticket.
Cancellations made within three (3) days of the scheduled workshop or class are non-refundable.
At the discretion of Samford Potters Collective, a credit may be offered towards a future workshop in place of a refund. If a credit is not accepted, the full fee will be forfeited.
No refunds or credits will be issued for non-attendance or late arrival.
In the unlikely event that Samford Potters Collective needs to cancel or reschedule a class or workshop, participants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to another date.
3. Third-Party Cancellation Insurance
Cancellation insurance offered at the time of booking via WeTeachMe is separate and independent from Samford Potters Collective.
We do not administer, manage, or influence the terms, coverage, or claims process of this insurance.
All enquiries, claims, or requests relating to this insurance must be directed to WeTeachMe in accordance with their own terms and conditions.
4. Participant Responsibilities
Participants must arrive on time for their workshop or class. Late arrivals may miss essential instructions, and we cannot guarantee catch-up assistance.
Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by instructors and staff.
Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The accompanying adult is welcome to remain on the premises but is responsible for supervising the minor.
5. Health and Safety
Pottery activities involve working with clay, glazes, tools, and equipment. By participating, you acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with these activities.
Participants are expected to wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes for safety reasons.
Samford Potters Collective will not be held liable for injuries caused by misuse of tools, failure to follow safety instructions, or actions beyond our reasonable control.
If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility limitations that may affect your participation, please inform us prior to attending the class.
6. Liability Waiver
By participating in any Samford Potters Collective class, workshop, or event, you agree to:
Assume full responsibility for any personal injuries, accidents, or damage to personal property that may occur while on the premises or during our Services.
Release and indemnify Samford Potters Collective, its owners, instructors, and staff from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from your participation, except where such liability is imposed by Australian consumer law.
7. Photo and Video Release
By attending a class, workshop, or event, you grant Samford Potters Collective permission to capture and use photographs or video footage for marketing and promotional purposes (including but not limited to social media, website, and print materials).
We respect your privacy. If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please advise us before the class or at the time of the event.
8. Care of Work and Studio Property
While we take the utmost care in handling and firing your work, the firing process can occasionally lead to cracking, warping, or unexpected results. Samford Potters Collective is not responsible for any breakages, cracks, or glaze outcomes that occur during the firing process.
Participants are expected to use all studio tools and equipment with care and return them in good condition.
Any intentional damage to studio property will be the responsibility of the participant.
9. Collecting Finished Work
Participants will be advised when their work is ready for collection.
Finished pieces must be collected within 30 days of notification unless otherwise arranged. Uncollected work may be discarded or repurposed due to storage limitations.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and/or attending a class, workshop, or event with Samford Potters Collective, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
