Your Teacher

Ox (Ian) McColl is a big burly potter with a very squishy inside who thinks he is sooooo funny and all up with the kids!!    Ha!,  now for his pedigree......  Ian has been throwing since he was 15 and did his ceramics degree at Latrobe Uni in Bendigo a hundred years ago.   He worked as a production potter for many years and learnt the impeccable skills that enable him to make the fabulous pots he does today.

He also became a nurse and secondary school art teacher, so you're pretty much covered with most questions!

He and his partner Leanne,  found the old roadhouse that is now Oxart HQ and decided to make it a pottery and art hub for everyone....   we especially love young creative minds and provide a safe and accepting venue for all abilities and all people.

We look forward to seeing you!
