VCE Folio Prep/Year 11/12, Teens Art Class (16-18yo) Thursdays 5.30-6.30pm

For many years we have been working with children and adults of all ages, helping them to achieve great results with their artwork.

Utilising the VCAA curriculum, the aim of the class is to guide students with their projects/folio to help them build skills, techniques and processes, comprehension and learning including their study approach. They may use an assortment of materials as they explore a range of forms, styles and contexts.

Sessions will include short demonstrations of different techniques, as well as guided work on individual projects. By the end of the term, students will have completed a folio showcasing their progress and creativity.

Your child is able to choose the subject/style they would like to do. They may paint on canvas' or art paper.  Along with their art materials, they are asked to bring an A4 display folder with colour copies of examples/pictures they would like to learn from. This is the best way we can teach them how to go with learning and completing an artwork. From there they will learn many techniques and begin to develop their own style. Alternatively, if preferred, they may bring an IPAD/Tablet which will need to contain their choice of images,  If so, please download images prior to class. (digital equipment is also at owners responsibility)

Each child is different, so what may work for one may not work for another, in that case we find what works best for your child. At the end of the class feel free to pop in and have a look at your child's progress.

They will feel proud of themselves along with a sense of achievement. It is about boosting their self esteem, inspiring them, encouraging decision making and expressing themselves through creativity to feel good about themselves.

Mature teens (16-18yo) not doing VCE are also able to join this class for learning and fun. Enrolments are accepted anytime throughout the term, classes will run for 1 hour each week, each term. Arriving to class fully prepared, assists your child to focus on their project in the class. If you have any questions please ask.

• Parents are not required to stay in the class as it is a drop & go activity
• In person classes may automatically switch to online in the case of lockdown
• Class may be postponed/cancelled in the case of insufficient bookings
