In this pottery class in Melbourne, you’ll learn how to make pinch pots step by step and shape clay into your own handmade pieces to take home. At Paint With Me, you’ll enjoy a warm, welcoming workshop where you can slow down, get creative, and make something beautiful with your own hands.
You don’t need any previous pottery experience. Your fine arts qualified teacher will guide you through the basics of pinch pot pottery, showing you how to work with clay and shape it with confidence. You can take your time, ask questions, and enjoy the process without pressure to be perfect.

The session is held at Paint With Me, an award-winning creativity school in Northcote. You’ll work with clay in a friendly, sip-friendly environment, and you’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. You may feel relaxed, inspired, and surprised by what you can create when you give yourself permission to simply have a go.
Paint With Me is a female-founded studio that supports six local female artists. With over 8,600 students served and more than 1,900 classes delivered, the studio is designed to feel inclusive, comfortable, and inspiring. The focus is on the process, not just the result, so you can enjoy making without needing everything to be perfect.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have explored a new creative skill, enjoyed a genuinely hands-on pottery experience, and created your own pinch pot pieces to take home.

- How to recreate with clay at home! Learn how to tell if the clay is good quality, and where to get the best tools in a pinch (get it?)

In 2027 we plan to do more of our excellent work in our community, with partnerships across Melbourne's deeply important helpers in education, council, community space, and social enterprises.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$5.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 1 day before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Paint With Me Melbourne or organised by Paint With Me Melbourne must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Paint With Me Melbourne
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Paint With Me Melbourne unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Paint With Me Melbourne classes and events or on Paint With Me Melbourne premises. (For use of Paint With Me Melbourne marketing materials). If you do not wish to have this please let us know as we will assume so.
3.) REFUNDS
Paint With Me Melbourne requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class commencing for a transfer or credit. There are No refund 7 days prior to classes.
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled by Paint With Me Melbourne, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit if within the time frame.
