Winter Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

With expert horticulturalist Justin Calverley

Over 20 people have attended this class

Description

Winter pruning of fruit trees is vital for setting structure in young trees and promoting fruiting wood in mature trees.

Join expert horticulturalist Justin Calverley for our winter fruit tree pruning workshop and learn how to best care for your fruit trees for health and to maximise your yield for next season. This workshop will give you the skills to prune with the confidence to achieve the tree you wished for. The workshop will combine both the theory of why and what we prune in winter with demonstrations in the orchard.

Please bring your gardening gloves and a pair of sharp clean secateurs.

Jason was totally engaging. He gave so much useful information on all facets of pruning from the structure of trees, shaping, the effects and techniques of pruning different types of fruit trees and looking after your tools. The relationship between humans and trees was beautifully expressed and I am inspired to work with my fruit trees for a happy life together. I would recommend this workshop to everyone who has fruit trees.
