Description
Calling all budding young farmers! This exciting Mini Farmers activity is perfect for children aged 5 to 8 years who want to get hands-on and help the farmers with their morning animal chores.
Activities May Include:
- Letting out and feeding the chickens
- Changing the chickens’ water and tidying their area
- Feeding the sheep, ponies, and alpacas
- Milking and feeding the goats
- Cleaning the paddocks
Facilitator:
Edendale Farmers will lead the children, teaching them about farm life and animal care.
Important Information:
- Bookings are essential – limited spaces available.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- No charge for accompanying adults.
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience farm life in a fun and educational way. Get ready for a morning of learning, laughter, and a little bit of farm magic!

While there is some parking available at the front of Edendale we would encourage you to investigate some more sustainable transport options including:

Some overflow parking may be available at Eltham North playground. Plan your visit
What to bring
- Parent or caregiver will be required to stay with the child / group.
What to wear
Casual outdoors. Closed shoes, long sleeves and long pants recommended. Hat and sunscreen too!

Edendale is a Community Environment Farm on 6 hectares of land adjacent to the Diamond Creek in Eltham.
We are open 7 days a week 10am to 4.30pm.
Entry to the farm is by Donation at one of our electronic tap points around the farm.
Along with our animals, indigenous plant nursery, school environmental education program, events and workshops, Edendale plays an important role as a hub for the local community to learn and share ideas about sustainable living, caring for nature and climate action.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.
Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Edendale Farm or organised by Edendale Farm must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Edendale Farm
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Edendale Farm unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs, videos or recordings taken at Edendale Farm classes and events or on Edendale Farm premises. (For use of Edendale Farm marketing materials).
Photos and videos recordings will not be taken of children without written permission from parents or guardians.
3.) REFUNDS
Edendale Farm requires 72 hours notice in writing prior to the class commencing for a refund, transfer or credit.
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled by Edendale Farm, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit.
