Description

This is an introductory course of 8 weeks for absolute beginners who would like a taste of what learning Spanish is like. It's a one-off course, so there are no texts to purchase, no commitments, just come and enjoy an introduction to this beautiful language. We start with the basics of greetings, pronunciation, getting to know others, saying where you come from and what you do, numbers, and get talking from there. But the good thing is that you can continue on to Elementary 2 if you're keen to learn more!

You'll be in a group with other like-minded people who are all wanting to learn and improve—whilst having fun. 

What you learn ...

  • greetings / presentations (¿cómo te llamas? / me llamo ... )
  • asking / saying your name, nationality, what you do, where you livepronunciation / the alphabet / numbersthis / these (este / esta / estos / estas)
  • using different forms for you (tú / usted ) masculine / feminine words (el sillón / la silla)
  • masculine / feminine descriptive words (mexicano / mexicana)
  • asking / saying where things are (al lado (de) / a la izquierda (de) / a la derecha (de))
  • describing where you live (vivo en una calle ...)
  • question words (¿dónde? ¿de dónde? ¿qué? ¿cómo?)
  • what is a basic present tense verb (there are 3 types: –AR / –ER / –IR)
  • lots of speaking practice
  • this course is very similar in content to Elementary 1 (and Rápido Elementary 1 and the first half of Express (E1&2))

No textbooks are needed for this course - materials are included in the course fee.
