Welcome!
My name is Rebecca Roberts, and I run writing workshops and provide individual mentorship for those keen to explore storytelling; in particular, the short story and memoir genres.
I'm also the author of 'Heal the Storyteller' – a short story anthology inspired by the expansive terrain of travel, the colourful world of teaching and the eternal landscape of the soul.
I believe storytelling is a cathartic process:
'Stories are healing; they awaken the spirit. They remind us of our ties and triggers, revealing our deepest truths. Stories are like mirrors; we often see ourselves in the journey of another. The short story is particularly powerful as it slots more seamlessly into a time-poor schedule.'
As an international English and Humanities teacher, I have taught in the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching in remote Australia, as well as the public and private secondary school systems in Perth, Western Australia.
