Description

Playgroup facilitators

Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri: Collette (Playgroup Coordinator)

Access

Our playgroup sessions are held in a dedicated hall at the rear of our main building. You are welcome to come to our main entrance on Livingstone Street and we'll show you through to playgroup, or you may find it easier to directly access playgroup from Waterdale Road, just around the corner from our main Livingstone Street entrance. Simply walk down the path between the church and our staff carpark (on Waterdale Road), and enter the courtyard via the child safety gate. The playgroup hall is just there on your right as you enter the courtyard.

Sunsmart

Our sun smart policy helps protect our children from harmful sun damage.

All children are required to wear a hat that shades their face, head, neck and ears at all times they are outside from the start of September until the end of April.

Livingstone Community Centre (LCC) is an initiative of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church and offers affordable short courses,  support programs, the Ivanhoe Makers Market, food bank, hall hire opportunities plus more, to people within the community.

The Ivanhoe Baptist Church has been running for over 100 years and in December 1999 LCC was opened for the first time with its first program starting in February 2000.

LCC is a registered Neighbourhood House within the Banyule City Council.

Our centre is a place for friendship, learning and belonging. Our mission statement is that the centre seeks to strengthen community in a safe and positive environment and to nurture the social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being of all who participate.

Over time the centre has grown considerably with currently approximately 650 people per week passing through our doors in search of everything from playgroup, choirs and language classes to art, craft, spirituality, health and well-being programs.

Great setup - so many toys, books, arts and crafts. Each week the set up was different and engaging. We started to attend in the midst of the coldest Melbourne weather, but all the activities were indoors and made time pass so quickly. The arts and craft station was different each week and made us look forward to it each week.

Terms & Conditions

BOOKINGS & ENROLMENTS

Bookings are essential for all events.

All prices are G.S.T inclusive.

ABSENCE

If you will be / are away from class / session for more than 2 weeks during term, please ensure you advise your tutor / leader, or the office.  This will ensure you keep your place.

If your circumstances change and you no longer need your place in your class / session, please let us know so it can be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

RFUNDS

We are happy to offer a full refund should you choose to cancel your enrolment prior to the activity commencing. ie. cancellation of Term enrolment prior to the first session of the Term.

Unfortunately we are not able to extend this refund offer to activities where included materials are ordered, in advance, for each participant prior to the class commencing. In this scenario, the refund would be the class fee, less the cost of materials and tuition.

We do offer refunds for individual sessions missed due to medical reasons, illness or injury.

We are a small not for profit community centre and most of our activities are 'fee for service' meaning we rely on enrolment fees paid by participants to cover our overhead costs, including facilitator wages. For this reason we rely on full Term commitment to activities and charge fees as Term fees.

We are unable to offer casual or pay as you go options, and we cannot provide refunds or credits for sessions missed due to other outings or holidays. We appreciate your understanding.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

LCC collects personal information, ie.  your name, address, contact details, etc)to enable us to complete our enrolment.  LCC respects all personal and confidential information given and will take all practical precautions to protect information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Relevant information will be forwarded to the tutor of each class.  Please notify the office if you do not want your details to be forwarded to the class tutor.
