Description

Meraki Cottage provides classes for children and adults in many areas of handcraft, in particular, sewing. The name Meraki was chosen because it is a Greek word meaning to do something with love, passion or soul.

Meraki Cottage is owned and run by me, Kathryn. I am a registered teacher who loves learning and craft, so putting these two together and delivering them with passion, will mean that a little bit of my soul is in every class I teach.

15 April 2018 • Learn To Sew

A wonderful welcoming inclusive class. Kathryn tells us we can make anything so I am inspired to start! She has lots of patience for questions and she's full of information and advice. A lovely environment in which to learn.

03 February 2018 • Sew a SimplePatchwork Bed Runner

A class for children wanting to learn how to sew or who need inspiration. You start and finish the Japanese bag in the 2 hour class. A must do! My daughters are both beginners and had a wonderful time. Katherine is a fantastic teacher. We can’t wait for the first in term class on Saturday 17th of Feb.

15 January 2018 • Sew a Foldover Cross Body Bag

Elise loved making her own bag and Kathryn is so patient and passionate about sewing. She readily shares her knowledge of sewing and makes young people feel good about their achievement.
