This ongoing course provides opportunities for all skill levels to create striking linocut prints. The printing techniques will be tailored to your experience. Ample opportunities will be available for you to learn and practice new techniques and there will be a focus on getting the most out of your designs using different colour ink and paper combinations. You will print with and without the press, using various methods ranging from custom stamps, reduction printmaking and multiple-block printmaking. The sessions will be loosely structured around design or technique challenges intended to focus your creativity and learning. The sessions are a great chance to get together and be creative.
Printing Materials included.
Paul Hasell is an artist and award winning teacher specializing in both, creative and visual arts education at University, and the training of Visual Arts educators. He is an experienced commercial artist working in a wide range of mediums ranging from painting and photography to special effects and prosthetic make-up in film, television, print media, museums and exhibitions. His arts education focus is to teach students the skills and strategies to realise and extend their own creative ideas.

- You will learn design strategies to get the most out of relief block prints.
- Learn printmaking techniques to create patterns, gradients and multi-colour prints from a single block
- Explore the results of printing in different colour combinations and on different mediums.

- You will be provided with Lino, inks and standard papers to create your designs.
- Access to printing presses and equipment throughout the sessions.
What to bring
- You may need to bring specific paper or material if you have special print idea in mind.
What to wear
Wear clothes that you don’t mind if they get paint on them or bring an apron or old shirt etc.
This course is for adults wanting to further explore linocut printmaking. All skill levels are welcome.

All booking withdrawal requests for our courses must be made in writing to email@example.com
Requests for transfer of booking or full refunds must be at least 48 hours before course commencing. Booking withdrawals made within the 48hrs prior to commencement will be non-refundable, except for exceptional circumstances judged at our discretion. No refunds will be given for withdrawal after the course begins.
We understand that things happen and due to unforseen circumstances you may have to miss a session in multiple session workshop. Missed classes will not be refunded. Provisions can be made to catch up on content missed.
We reserve the right to cancel classes/courses due to minimum numbers. Notification of cancellations will be as soon as possible and usually be sent at least 48 hours beforehand. Under these circumstances a transfer or full refund will be fulfilled on our behalf
If for unforseen circumstances one class/session, from a course, needs to rescheduled/cancelled we will endeavour to seek a satisfactory resolution of another session provided or appropriate reimbursement.

Bookings are allocated upon receipt of full payment of the listed price.
Payment card through the WeTeachMe booking set-up is through a secure payment service. We do not gather or retain any card details.
For the benefit of everyone participating in the course we ask that you attend all of the sessions, when possible, and arrive on time and prepared.

In participating in the classes you are accepting that you may be photographed as part of documentation or for advertising purposes. If you do not want to be photographed or would like a particular image removed from advertising please contact us via email.
Filming or photographing the contents of the classes is not permitted without our prior consent.
Any resources supplied as part of the courses are for your use only and are not to be reproduced unless permission is granted.
We provide the basics of tea and coffee, however we don’t cater to all the possibilities of this. You will need to provide your own additional products to satisfy any specific dietary requirements with access to a fridge and microwave.
We provide the course that is advertised. Outcomes can be directly affected by the input of the customer. If you feel that the course did not meet your expectations then please contact us via email for a possible resolution.
You will be responsible for the care of belongings brought to the workshop. We do not accept responsibility for possessions or other items brought to the workshop by you.
