About Mia Carta
Expression through creativity is what we teach at Mia Carta. We are an arts and crafts studio located in Thomastown, Melbourne and run a variety of classes from our popular Life Drawing and Sewing Classes to Jewellery Making and Macrame.
Mia Carta was born out of love of all things arts and crafts, allowing people to create truly unique pieces with their hands regardless of age and skill level.
Our Life Drawing Classes are popular and there are times for untutored or tutored - tutored classes are run by a professional local artist with a Life Model from the Life Model Society.
The Kids Drawing Classes are one of our most popular classes and are run by a professional local artist.
Sewing Classes are fun and open to all ages and skill. Whilst we run sewing classes, you are also able to book in for one on one sessions or hire our studio should you only need a space to create.
There are regular classes on Jewellery Making, Art and Macrame has been a regular feature of late!
We aim to make all classes as affordable as possible to ensure everyone has access to their inner creative side!
Mia Carta has full facilities (especially coffee!) and parking available, we are close to a Train Station and even Ring Road should you be driving.
All staff and artists at Mia Carta onsite have current Working with Children Checks. These are available to view on request.
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Mia Carta or organised by Mia Carta must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Mia Carta.
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Mia Carta unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Mia Carta classes and events or on Mia Carta's premises. (For use of Mia Carta marketing materials).
3.) REFUNDS
Mia Carta requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer.
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
