Family Night Walk - Eltham Lower Park
Description
Curious what animals are out and about in the night, who makes that sound and what is splashing in the creek?
Join Council Biodiversity officers for a free family friendly night walk at Eltham Lower Park.
We will listen for frogs, keep an eye out for ripples from Platypus and search the trees for Gliders and Owls while learning about how we can care for and look after our amazing native animals.
This walk will be supervised by Council officers, but we ask all children to be accompanied by adults or guardians.
Parking at end of Homestead Rd (at the Diamond Creek Trail).
Please bring:
- Walking shoes suitable for walking along bush tracks
- Warm clothing
- A torch (with red filter or cellophane - we will also have some)
- Camera / Phone for taking pictures
- Water bottle
- Please download inaturalist app on your phone
There are toilet facilities located near the venue.

- Park in carpark at end of Homestead Rd, Eltham South
- Council officer will be just in the park along closed section of road.
