Bunjil Wildflower Walk - Threatened Species Day

Bunjil Wildflower Walk - Threatened Species Day

Next Available: Sun, 14 Sep 10:00AM (AEST)
2 hours

Description

Join us on Threatened Species Day for a very special walk to look at some of the regions most threatened plant species. Guided by Councils Biodiversity and Environmental works officers, we will carefully provide access to areas where you can see threatened orchids and other special plants.

We will highlight the reserves threatened flora but also help you identify more common wildflowers in the reserve and teach you how to record these into citizen science databases or learn to identify them yourself!

Meeting point TBC

This event will involve walking along bush tracks and through some steep, slippery areas. It is advisable that people able to walk and stand for two hours attend.

This event will be capped to limit our impact on the special areas we will visit and we ask that you only book tickets if you can attend. If you can no longer attend, please email environment@nillumbik.vic.gov.au and let us know you can no longer make it.

We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event environment for all attendees. If you have accessibility or inclusion requirements regarding this event, please contact us about how we can help on environment@nillumbik.vic.gov.au
