This photography course is designed for those of you who need help understanding your DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
Would you like to learn how to use the manual settings on your camera?
Stop using auto mode as you learn all about Shutter Speed, Aperture, White Balance and ISO.
This fun half-day photography course teaches you some great skills so you can get the most out of your camera.
For over 4 hours I will take you on a walking tour to many great photogenic locations around Melbourne's city centre.
Your teacher will explain in simple terms how and why you should use the manual settings on your camera.
You will be taught all the most important functions on your camera so you can create some wonderful results into the future.
It is highly recommended that you know your main camera functions before attending this class and have a basic understanding of your camera. Please look up your ISO, White Balance and Shutter Speed before attending the class. You don't need to know what they mean but it will enhance your learning experience by knowing these settings on your camera.
This course runs in small groups of 8 or less so you can receive lots of individual help over the 4 hours.

Please note: This photography course is only suitable for cameras with detachable lenses and manual settings. If minimum numbers are not met we reschedule the class. If severe weather is forecast the class may be rescheduled.

What to bring
- DSLR Camera or Mirrorless Camera
- Fully charged battery or 2 batteries if a mirrorless camera
- Empty Memory Card
- An external flash if your camera does not have a pop up one
- A lens with a zoom range

Cancellation/ Rescheduling
We require a minimum 48 hours notice to reschedule and 14 days to avoid a $45 fee. If minimum numbers are not met we reschedule the class.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a transfer or credit note.
If you can't attend the class:
- A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Terms & Conditions
Numbers on the Day
These workshops are limited to a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 students, dependent on the maximum for each class. In the unlikely event of not reaching minimum numbers, the course will be postponed to the next available date.
This does not apply to the private and online lessons which are one on one.
Weather
Locations may vary according to weather conditions. The location will be sent to you the night before the workshop following a check of the weather forecast.
Please note that this does not apply to online lessons or indoor workshops.
