Rest in Pieces and the Carter County Museum in Ekalaka Montana have joined forces to take you out of your living rooms and behind the scenes into the world of palaeontology and fossil preparation!
The RIP team have been lucky enough to volunteer with the great folks at CCM to run taxidermy demonstrations and workshops. To our great delight we were also part of some large digs out in the field and worked with the palaeontologists to dig a 60 thousand year old Mammoth and a 60 million year old Plesiosaur.
You will get to see the preparation of these specimens happening as well as many other exciting dinosaurs, fossils and specimens.
All the money raised by this event will be donated to the Carter County Museum to assist with the fantastic work and programs that they bring to the community.
During the behind the scenes tour you can ask questions live and you will also be invited to the exclusive Dying to Know group on Facebook where you can continue to pick our brains, share your creations and will have access to exclusive discounts and offers.
The event will run from 10am on September the 5th. If you can't attend on the day you can purchase a ticket and will be sent a link where you can watch it for the 10 days that follow.
We look forward to seeing you soon,

Taxidermy - Taxis 'arrangement' + Derma 'skin'
Natalie Delaney-John has travelled far and wide to learn the art of taxidermy and has been mentored by some of the world's best and most awarded taxidermists. She is the proud founder of Rest in Pieces, which launched Australia's first taxidermy workshops, conducts talks, demonstrations and now sells DIY kits so that you can learn this beautiful art in the comfort of your own home.
Since 2016, the Rest in Pieces team has expanded further into the 'dying arts', offering new classes and workshops aimed at preserving and presenting natural specimens.
If you have purchased an item from us and it arrives damaged we will need photo evidence and the item returned.
We will then refund you or ship you out a replacement.
If you have booked a workshop ticket we understand that sometimes you just can't make a class. The best thing to do is to
contact us as soon as you can to let us know. If you give us 2 weeks notice, we can
offer to transfer you to the next scheduled class. This will incur a $10 admin fee.
If you need to cancel, with two weeks notice or more we will refund the full price of the
workshop, minus $50 booking fee, less than two weeks and we will refund 50% minus
$50 booking fee.
Unfortunately we wont be able to offer refunds for cancellations or transfers received
last minute - the day before the workshop or on the day of the workshop.
