Class Overview:
In this 2-hour hand building workshop, you'll learn how to craft your own unique cheese platter along with two tapas dishes.
No prior experience is needed.
Explore different textures to create stunning, one-of-a-kind platters that are sure to impress your friends the next time they come over for cheese and wine.
This class is perfect for anyone interested in making functional items they can use at home or gift.
Cost is inclusive of firing and glazing of pieces by the studio. Colours can be selected on the day.

Children: Yes – over the age of 8 years (if accompanied by an adult).
Wear: Clothes that can get dirty – this class is hands on. Closed shoes are essential.

The studio has 2 medical grade air purifiers, InovaAir DV20, designed for use in clinical environments, primarily for the removal of aerosol-based viral and bacterial contaminants.
What you will learn
- How to work your clay into organic, free formed functional platters, pinch bowls, spoons.
- How to incorporate texture and apply surface decoration.
- How to create hand formed, organic pieces which can be used in the home.
What you will get
- Students will be notified when work has been glazed and ready to collect.
Please also note, that if you are driving you cannot park on Kent St as it’s permit only, try St David St or Moor St.

No experience necessary. Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. Minimum age for children is 10 yrs.
Sarah Schembri is a Melbourne Ceramic Artist who is passionate about creating functional, tactile and visually appealing ceramics, particularly tableware. Being a lover of cooking and food in general, she is most interested in making pieces that are a pleasure to use in the home, pieces which are not only visually appealing but also functional & tactile.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 14 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

- For transfers within 7 – 2 days of a 1-day workshop, there will be an admin fee of $20/person.
- No transfers or refunds within 48 hours of a 1-day workshop.
