Or have you recently launched a new business and need a little help reaching your target audience? “Take it to Market” is the workshop for you. Full of helpful tips around understanding your brand and assessing your desired client base, this workshop will arm you with a solid foundation to begin your marketing or business plan in simple, easy to follow exercises.

Join Sam and Katie from Soma Society as they walk you through simple marketing strategies, assist with the development of your pitch and mission statement and aid you in addressing your market niche. Through simple and fun exercises the girls will also assist you in uncovering your ideal and desired client(s) and leave you with a mind buzzing full of ideas!

About About Samantha Fin & Katie Barget - Soma Society

Samantha Fin has been working in creative marketing, communications and film/television since 2003.  For the last 10 years she has also carved a strong reputation as a writer and professional artist both locally and abroad. Rarely sitting still, Sam lives outside the box and excited by ideas, concepts and brands that are ready to take things to the next level.

Over the years she has worked with the likes of Vivid Sydney, Playstation, Sound Alliance, Merivale, Channel 7, Channel 9, Hermes and Starlight Childrens’ Foundation on everything from brand activations to corporate strategy and design.

Her infectious personality and boundless energy are matched by an entrepreneurial drive and as such, Sam said goodbye to the corporate world in 2007 to pursue her own dreams.  She opened her first business at age 25 and has since consulted and assisted numerous creatives start-ups build successful client bases and brands.

Katie Barget has been a connector, digital strategist, and producer for most of her professional life.  In the last 10 years, she has added photographer the mix, a passion she has held since childhood. Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate, Katie believes in working to create win-win scenarios in all she does. She values integrity and open communication with a strong sense of intuition that’s rarely wrong. Katie has the unique ability to address solutions both strategically and creatively, ensuring optimum results every time.

Since then, she has had the good fortune of working for some of Australia’s most innovative and exciting digital companies, most from the ground up.  Many of their successes can be attributed to Katie’s passion, ingenuity, entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and ability to generate long standing and fruitful partnerships.

An extremely effective team, based around out of the box ideas and bringing them to fruition, Soma Society is committed and focused on leading the way in both storytelling and creative marketing. Work-Shop is a creative concept that will broaden your horizons and help you unleash your inner awesome. We provide affordable short courses in life skills and alternative art. We’ve teamed up with Australia’s brightest creative minds to share their knowledge and help teach you a new skill.

From printmaking and stencil art through to music and gardening. From life skills and personal development through to blending tea and parkour, we offer a broad range of fun and creative short courses to suit our time poor lives. We will inspire you to pick up that pen, paintbrush, hammer or sewing machine and flick the switch that will kickstart a whole new way of life.

Cancelation & Refund Policy

REFUNDS

Work-Shop requires 72 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund. If you miss this window, earn some extra karma points and give your ticket to one of your buddies. The tickets are fully transferable. Email learn@work-shop.com.au to organise a refund.

CANCELLATIONS

We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via email and entitled to a full refund or credit.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

  •  Any damage, loss or theft incurred to personal property property brought into Work-Shop’s premises.
  • Any physical injuries sustained as a result of participating in any class or event organised by Work-Shop.

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Work-Shop.


2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)
