This workshop will guide you from the basics of Insta- how to right through to using hashtags (we’ll talk about what they are, if you’re not sure!), connecting with your community and sharing your story. Ellie, better known as @petalplum, has over 115k followers and has been the Instagram Suggested User list twice; Ellie runs her handcrafted business through her account, and inspires her audience daily with beautifully styled and photographed images. Ellie will share her insights into how to use Instagram for your business, your creativity and to connect with your audience. We’ll talk about what to share, how to create content and share an authentic version of yourself without selling out or sharing all your secrets.
This workshop is for beginners to advanced Instagrammers who are looking to take their account to the next level. Ellie runs a product and service based business, and collaborates in her community – so we’ll talk about all those business types. Come along and be inspired to share your creative journey and connect with your local Insta-friends.
Includes take home notes, content calendar and ideas on what to actually post.
Head to our Facebook page for information on parking and getting to the space.
About Ellie Beck
I am a creative maker, working primarily with textiles and natural materials, though I mostly go with the flow of my creativity from weaving, stitching, natural dye to flower-play, crochet and photography. I share my creative journey, parenting and slow-living lifestyle through my Instagram @petalplum – where I inspire an audience of over 115k through my daily images. I live and work from my home studio set in the rainforest in Northern NSW. I work alongside my husband, who runs Deadwood Creative: recycled skateboard jewellery & homewares.
I teach hands-on workshops in weaving, natural dye, slow-stitching, and more, as well as how-to talks on Instagram and small business. I love to collaborate and connect with my creative community, and often organise events, gatherings and talks just so we can meet each other!
I’m a mama to three (11yr old, 9yr old and 16month old) – life is full and wonderfully abundant with young children, but I still find time to enjoy moments of quiet and slow amongst the usual busy family life. I share this slow living philosophy through my Instagram and blog.
