Our friends at Decks For Change believe that skateboarding can change lives, and art changes minds, so they want you to create a skate deck design that sheds light on an important issue to you or your community.
We’re getting behind this amazing cause by hosting a ‘Design A Skate Deck’ Workshop with Melbourne Artists and Skateboarders Pigeonboy and Matt Dwyer who will share their love of skateboarding and skate art - talking about some of their main influences, favourite artists and board graphics and get you inspired to create a submission for the competition!
We’ll hook you up with a skate deck and all art materials, all you need to bring is your ideas! We’ll also throw in some social lubricants to get the creative juices flowing, so even if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since kindergarten you’re guaranteed to create an absolute masterpiece, all the while supporting a darn good cause!
Whether you use paint, pencil, texta, collage or another medium of your choice, this is your opportunity to make a difference and get behind an awesome cause, with all proceeds going towards building a community skatepark in Nepal with Make Life Skate Life.
If you wish, you can submit your creation to the Decks for Change comp where winning artworks will be exhibited at events in Sydney & Melbourne alongside renowned skate artists Lucas Beaufort, Mark ‘FOS’ Foster, Marty Baptist, Sebo Walker, Cory Scroggins & more to be announced!
Together, we can create skate art for a better world!
