In this 4 hour masterclass with Melbourne based Illustrator and designer, Bobby Haiqalsyah will cover the fundamentals of typography, best practices when working with type both when working by hand and digitally, and finally we’ll cover how to convert your sketch or hand lettering into a digital/vector piece.
What are the benefits of converting your lettering into a vector piece? Accuracy and flexibility are the main benefits. Vector pieces can be recoloured, modified, and scaled infinitely without losing resolution which is important when the design becomes a logo or logotype, for example. The techniques covered would be quite advanced so solid knowledge in using Adobe illustrator will be helpful.
So if you’re interested in lettering or working in vector or if you're already a hand lettering wiz and want to take it further using a vector program - then this is definitely the workshop for you!
