Malini Parker continues to colour our world with herĀ creativity-harnessing painting workshops, with another one coming up in May. Malini certainly knows what sheās saying when she says āart is life-changingā, because sheās lived it herself. It took decades for her to finally discover she could be an artist. And now she shares this creative, enlightening experience through her painting workshops. āFrankly, Iām a little addicted to the transformation I witness when beginners (particularly those who are a little terrified) come to my workshops!,ā Malini said. āI might be some kind of alien creature from science fiction ā Iām convinced that I absorb the creative energies that are unleashed in the room when a group of students gather to make art!ā
On May 26th in Perth, Malini will lead the class through a whole weekend of creating beautiful and unique textured paintings using acrylic paint and other unconventional materials like leaves, thread and even lace! Students will come home with four (4) new paintings they created themselves, and a renewed inspiration to create more.
