Description
Azumi is an expert florist who has worked across the world in Japan, Europe and Australia. In this 4 week beginners course you will learn and share her passion and skill for floristry.
This is a beginners course created for those seeking a career change or a new skill as a hobbyist.
Your work will be photographed at the end of each class within the inspiring byAzumi studio. Which will also help you to build a portfolio.
Each week you will be working with seasonal flowers in a natural style. You will be inspired by nature throughout this course while you enjoy form, colour, texture and the scent of each flower.
Here's what you will learn;
Week 1
Garden Bouquet
Azumi will teach you all the skills you need to know to create a garden style bouquet. You will learn how to arrange flowers in your hand while spiralling as well as being able to consider proportion.
Week 2
Flower Headpiece & Buttonhole
You will be getting the skills you need to know to create flower headpieces and buttonholes. This section covers wiring and flower taping techniques. This lesson can be applied to weddings and events.
Week 3
Free-Style Arrangement
This week you will be learning the framework for making flowers arrangements in foam. You will be using seasonal flowers for this lesson to help you recognize their natural form, shape and qualities.
Week 4
Floral Arrangement in a Vase
A new set of skills is to be learned from vase arranging in comparison to foam work. In this valuable lesson you will take away with you the ability to work within all shapes of vases while creating balance and depth. We are finishing on a tricky lesson but by now you are ready for it!

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 28 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 14 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
If you are unable to attend the class, we will transfer your booking to an alternative day or issue you a credit for no additional charge. Transfers require 7 working days' notice as we prepare materials in advance. Transfers or cancellations within 7 days require 30% of the Admin fee (prices dependant on the class), and the tuition fee can be kept as credit.
Due to our intimate class size, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes.

- We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled course.
