Introduction to Wine Course - Four Week Course
Where: In the Cellars at Armadale Cellars
Time: From 6.30 to 8.30 for four consecutive weeks, every Tuesday

Join us as we learn and taste across all facets of wine appreciation including a week each focusing on Champagne & Sparkling Wines, White, Red and Dessert Wines along with Ageing and Cellaring.
This interactive wine course covers a broad range of wine topics directly related to the process of winemaking from vine to bottle to table. Learn the subtleties and nuances of the different styles.
Each week features a structured tasting of a themed selection of wines to give participants an understanding of grape variety, region, viticulture and winemaking practices and their impact on price, quality and age-worthiness.
Course Outline
Week 1: Sensory Evaluation, Palate Construction and Sparkling Wines and Champagne
Week 2: Vineyard to Winery / White Wines / Botrytised Wine
Week 3: Winemaking Processes & External Winemaking Practices / Red Wines
Week 4: Aged Wines, the Art of Wine Purchasing and Cellaring / The Synergy of Wine and Food
On Week 4 the group visits a local restaurant where we finish the last segment of the course and have the option to join in for a celebratory dinner at $99 cash per person. A wide range of styles are looked at paired to sharing-style three course dinner

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a transfer or credit note.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
Terms & Conditions
- Strict 7 days cancellation policy – unless otherwise specified within the “Booking Notes” of your event. Wine Scholar Guild courses overwrite the 7 day policy to a strict 30 day policy.
- Gift vouchers for Armadale Cellars' events purchased through WeTeachMe are only redeemable for courses and events, and cannot be redeemed for purchases in store at Armadale Cellars.
- If you are unable to attend an event or course at/with Armadale Cellars you must inform us at least 7 days prior in writing or via email and we can offer to transfer you to another course or event. No transfers will be offered if cancelling within 1 week of the course or event date. After that, it is your responsibility to fill the spot with a friend or family member, otherwise seat/booking lapses.
- Public transport, taxis or rideshare services are the best way to get to and from our events and courses. We are a 7 minute walk from Armadale train station and the route 6 tram is right outside our front door.
- Parking:
For events at our cellar, we request that all participants park on High Street, where there are no parking restrictions from 6.30pm.
For external events, please check parking prior or contact us if unsure. - Gift certificate/bookings valid within 36 months of purchase. Gift vouchers/bookings are not redeemable for cash or wine, nor refundable.
