WE TAKE YOU THROUGH THE STEPS TO DRAFT A FULLY LINED TAILORED JACKET
In this course, you will learn:
- How to draft tailored collar and lapels- explore multiple options, draft the entire jacket pattern using amazing jkt blocks available in sizes 6-22/ XS-2XL
- Identify & work with the break line, the jet pocket and flap, the back vent, facings and internal pockets
- Construct a proper tailored lining using industry techniques.
- The two-piece sleeve; the shoulder pad, easing, sleeve heading.
- Fusing, how to use it, what type, where and how to apply it to the garment
In class, you will learn various techniques for drafting and creating the perfect jacket pattern. These techniques are based on industry standard blocks and will be demonstrated through pattern exercises, sewing samplers, and calico toiles. Select your desired size to begin the process.

Why enrol in the pattern making class?
The Pattern Making Class has been created to cater for the overwhelming demand of individuals asking us if we offer private tuition.
Each team member has over 25 years of industry experience and 20 years of successful academic delivery.
Fashion students, those currently employed in the fashion industry and many creative people with a genuine interest in wanting to make patterns and clothing were not finding the right fit for their needs.
Many have been disappointed with the lack of knowledge and strict old-fashioned guidelines that are not offering a high industry standard level as well as individuals who want to push past the commercial pattern offering and be more in charge of their design outcomes.
The Pattern Making Class aims to deliver an intensive well-rounded curriculum that focuses on the key elements of each garment type, fast tracking the participant into a self-directed and confident approach to pattern making.
