Food Safety Supervisor - Hospitality (VIC)


This accredited one-day Food Safety Supervisor course (SITXFSA006 โ€“ Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices) meets the regulatory requirements for all Australian food businesses to designate a Food Safety Supervisor. Designed for the hospitality sector, participants will develop essential skills and knowledge to ensure safe food handling across all stagesโ€”from storage to service.

Engaging with real-world scenarios and assessment through on-site food premise observations, trainees gain practical insights to apply immediately in professional settings.

Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITXFSA006. Please allow up to ten working days for certificate issuance.

Important Note

Completion of SITXFSA005 โ€“ Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety โ€“ is highly recommended prior to enrolling in this course for a stronger foundational understanding of hygiene and contamination prevention.

This course is designed specifically for the hospitality industry (e.g., restaurants, cafes, and small food businesses). Those in the health sector (e.g., childcare or aged care) must refer to specific industry unit codes.

Schedule & Access Information

  • Weekday & Weeknight Courses: Entry via William Angliss Institute main entrance โ€“ Building A, 555 La Trobe Street.
  • Weekend Courses: Entry via Angliss Restaurant foyer at 550 Little Lonsdale Street. A staff member will escort you.
  • Coffee Courses: Entry at the Coffee Academy, Ground Floor, Building D, 555 La Trobe Street.
  • Public Transport: Close to Flagstaff and Southern Cross stations; City Circle and other trams stop nearby.
  • Parking: No on-site parking. Metered street parking and off-street options nearby (e.g., Wilsons Parking, Melbourne Care Park).
