A note of firing:

Pottery can be a challenging hobby, sometimes on the first go, you might not create something you love. We will do our best to help coach you along the way. Ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable. Due to this, there are limitations on the size of your items, sadly pieces break during the firing process and we want to ensure you have a beautiful and functional piece. Trust us, we have had to learn from heartbreak!

House of Hobby works with some of Perth's best creatives to ensure an unforgettable creative experience.

We can’t wait to introduce you to your next creative hobby. Tickets are strictly limited, Attendees must be over 18 years of age.

We did the pottery wheel class and it was so much fun! It was a weekday so couldn’t partake too heavily in the free flowing wine but loved that option! So nice to do something different during the week and it would be so cute for birthdays, events or even a date! Great, knowledgeable fun instructors - well be back!

Did the pottery class and it was amazing! It's not cheap, but you get on the wheel, get a couple of pieces (or more) to take home after they're glazed and have been in the kiln. There's nibbles and wine. The instructors were SO passionate. A really uplifting night, giving it a try, really great approach, no pressure but lots of skills can be learned too.

Can I attend on my own?

You sure can, we always make the extra effort to sit people who have attended alone together.

What workshops do you offer?

We offer a range of different workshops, most can be found here, along with tickets to upcoming events. Our schedule goes out 6 - 8 weeks in advance.

I missed out on Workshop Tickets!

We’d recommend signing up to our mailing list, as tickets are always released there first.

How long do I have to collect my pottery?

Turning your items from clay to a beautiful ceramic, can take at the very most 3 months, we do like to aim for the 6 - 8 week mark. We allow for 3 months after this (6 months in total) for you to collect your pottery items, after 6 months from your workshop date, uncollected items are placed on our orphans table. Where other’s can adopt them for $10, which goes to our partner charity. Collection updates can also be found on our instagram.

Accessibility

Support Workers

We offer discounted tickets for support workers, please get in touch with what workshop you’d like to book into, we do have a limit on the number of support workers in each session.

Studio Accessibility

Our studio is on flat ground and we have lots of room if you require any extra space. We are in an old building and our bathrooms are not fully accessible, there are a few steps (something we are working to rectify).
