Mosaic Art Professional Development for Visual Arts Educators

Like Minds Studio invites Visual Arts educators to take part in a thoughtfully designed Professional Development workshop focused on mosaic art techniques and their practical application in school settings. This immersive 5-hour indoor/outdoor session is held at the Fairfield Community Room in Melbourne and is suitable for both primary and secondary teachers.

The workshop provides structured, hands-on learning in mosaic art processes, supporting teachers to build both technical skill and teaching confidence. Participants will explore design development, material selection, and construction techniques, with clear guidance on how these processes can be adapted for individual student projects as well as collaborative classroom and whole-school mural initiatives.

A key focus of the session is supporting teachers to successfully plan and deliver mosaic projects in real-world teaching contexts. Participants will learn how to scaffold skills across year levels, manage group workflows, and sequence lessons effectively.
