Lucet Textile Jewellery Workshop on Sunday 3rd May

Learn to create beautiful textile jewellery from lucet made cords in this class suited to beginners. The ancient lucet tool dates to medieval and Viking times when the sturdy cords were essential for general use and clothing.

Our day will start with learning how to use the lucet in a fast and efficient way to create the springy, sturdy cords. Different colours and textures of yarn will be provided to inspire you to create the jewellery piece that suits your taste.

After we have mastered using the lucet we will move onto different ways to create necklaces and bracelets. This will involve learning interesting and decorative braids, knots and finishes.
