Whether you are just getting started with your digital camera, or want to get out of Auto Mode, this two-hour, 30 minute workshop will explain just what aperture, shutter speed and ISO is, and how you can start to create more than just snap shots with your expensive piece of kit. Start creating masterpieces.
Colin Bushell is Vice President of the Professional Photographers' Association of Queensland and an award-winning photographer, with 35 years experience as a photographer, journalist, author and communications expert. He offers clear, concise explanations to get you more engaged with your own photography.

After 30 years experience in photography, journalism, communications, customer service, consumer law and broadcasting, Colin Bushell established Bigger Boat Creative Solutions (incorporating Colin Bushell Photography) in 2011. The winner of the Lord Mayor’s Photographic Award in 2015, Colin spends up to three months of the year in search of photographic challenges around the world, working on assignments from as far afield as Hawaii, Italy, England, Arizona, Thailand and Germany. When back in his studio and office in The Gap, Brisbane, Colin delivers striking marketing images, corporate profiles and brand features, while working for a series of Australia-wide magazine titles. He also runs workshops and one-on-ones in photography, creative writing and feature writing; leads photography safaris around Queensland with fellow PPAQ professional Craig Stampfli, and is always on the lookout for the next big challenge.
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.

Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Colin Bushell Photography or organised by Colin Bushell Photography must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Colin Bushell Photography.
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Colin Bushell Photography unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Colin Bushell Photography classes and events or on Colin Bushell Photography's premises. (For use of Colin Bushell Photography marketing materials).
3.) REFUNDS
Colin Bushell Photography requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer (24 Hours for online workshops).
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
