You are invited to attend a free seminar that will provide you with information on how to prepare for your NDIS Audit. 

Date: 21 February 2020

Time: 2.00pm

Location: Victory Offices (Board Room) located at Level 5, 12 Clarke Street, Sunshine VIC 3020.


In the seminar we will be covering:

  1. How to prepare for the audit – the systems and documentation you will need to have in place for the audit;
  2. Human Resource Management;
  3. Recruitment –advertising, interview questions, reference checks;
  4. Paying your employees correctly – The Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010:
  5. The Fair Work Ombudsman – avoiding a wages scandal – how the Fair Work Ombudsman operates:
  6. Different types of employment: Casual, part-time, full-time, salaried employment:
  7. Contracts of employment – why you need contracts of employment and what should be in them:
  8. Position descriptions – why you need them and what should be in them:
  9. HR Policy manual – what are the highest risk areas for your business and how to protect against these:
  10. Inductions – the importance of induction forms:
  11. Performance reviews – a simple system that delivers great results: ans
  12. Setting up a basic HR system – and maintaining records Induction Performance review forms


The seminar will go for approximately 2 hours.


About your presenters 


John Girardi

John Girardi owns Girardi Human Resources and has helped many businesses to generate increased profits by getting the best out of their people and helping them to set up HR systems.

John draws on more than 20 years’ experience in the HR discipline, but also holds a Masters of Business, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Bachelor of Business, and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology). He also taught at Queensland University of Technology, where he was a part-time lecturer in Organisational Behaviour.


Gemeh Kromah

Gemeh has worked across various areas of community sectors over the past five years. Gemeh has specialised in providing first-class support to people with disabilities to enable them to live fulfilling lives. His background in complex case management means he is highly competent in identifying the appropriate level of care and support required for individuals.

Gemeh's work as a Support Coordinator has allowed him to support participants to connect with relevant Care Agencies and Allied Health professionals to meet their individual needs. As a pre-audit consultant, Gemeh has advised and assisted NDIS providers to pass their audit with outstanding ratings. His pre-audit techniques can help any provider successfully pass their audit. Gemeh holds a Bachelor of Social Work (Monash University), Bachelor of Counselling (ACAP) and Master of Entrepreneurship (University of Melbourne).

Parking Info

Please note that the Victory Offices is located in the Vic Roads building in Sunshine. There is a multilevel car park located near the building (it's free for the first 3 hours, then $2 for the next hour, so quite cheap, but you need to use a credit card to access and exit the car park). There is also a public car park outside the building.

John Girardi has had more than 20 years’ experience working at a senior level within the Human Resources discipline and delivering management training to hundreds of managers.

 John has had extensive experience with delivering HR services in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, supply chain, pharmacy, and government. He as a HR Manager in the Department of Premier and Cabinet in Queensland, and as a HR manager at Linfox, where he worked at one of Coles’ largest distribution centres in the country, managing the HR function for a site that employed more than 500 employees.

More than 20 years ago, John developed an interest in the invisible side of organisations. It was the subject of his Master’s thesis. This is the side of a business that you can’t value by looking at financial statements, but research, and our experience with organisations, shows that these aspects of a business have an impact on profits.

John draws on extensive experience in the HR discipline, a Masters of Business, and a Post-Graduate diploma in Psychology. He also lectured in Organisational Behaviour at Queensland University of Technology.

John is interested in things like employee motivation and how to build it, the skill-level of a workforce, why some employees go above and beyond (and how to develop that work ethic), morale, energy, and communication (particularly management communication, such as providing direction and feedback to a team). He is particularly interested in how to develop managers so that they can grow this side of a business.

We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers.
