Private Hand Building Workshop with Kiln Firing
(+161 more dates)
Description
Join us for our therapeutic hand-building clay class at our vibrant studio in Melbourne! Perfect for beginners, this workshop invites you to get your hands dirty and unleash your inner artist.
Guided by a real ceramic enthusiast, trained in the world-famous ceramic town of Jingdezhen in China, you'll start with a brief introduction to basic hand-building techniques and decoration. Then, we'll dive into hands-on pottery making together. With the clay we provided, you can mould and shape small vessels like a plate, cup or bowl, and make small decorations on it, such as cat paws, pig heads, small hearts, and small handles, and you can freely express your own creations. In the end, we'll fire your masterpiece for you. It will be ready for pick-up in three to four weeks.
Whether you're spending quality time with family, planning a unique date night or exploring a new hobby, our beginner's clay workshop is a perfect fun group or solo activity. We can’t wait to create something amazing with you!
Pick-up Reminder:Please remember to pick up your creations within 4 months after the course. Any unclaimed pieces after this period will be donated to charity.
Please note: Ceramics can be such a fun and rewarding art form, but unfortunately, not every piece survives the kiln. Sometimes, they may break due to factors like excess moisture or unexpected explosions during firing, despite our best efforts to prevent issues during the finishing process. While we always do our utmost to ensure a successful outcome, we’re unable to offer refunds for pieces that crack naturally. However, if we determine the damage occurred due to a kiln or technician error, we’ll be happy to assist accordingly.
