About the Speaker/s

David Fastuca 

Co-Founder @ Ambisie & Recommendr App

David is a technology advisor/mentor on; building marketing and user experience teams, along with product strategy and growth modeling, how to leverage technologies to improve business, and scalability. David's purpose, both as a creative and as a leader of various companies, has always been to design for success.  As a serial entrepreneur and social enterprise co-founder, David has the unique ability to make the complicated look simple, his passion for design and business, and where the two collide, is his focus. Bringing a personal touch to projects, as a strategist, designer, speaker and mentor to help bring brands to life.

His talent and creativity have earned him awards such as the SmartCompany Hot 30 Under 30, Ken Cato Leadership in Design and Top Digital Innovator just to name a few. David is also a member of the Design Founders group and the Invision Design Leadership forum, joining the ranks of founders of Facebook, FourSquare, Shopify and Google. Along with being a global ambassador of social enterprises Inspiring Rare Birds and Project Gen Z.

Ben Sze

Co-Founder @ Edrolo

Ben Sze is a co-founder an co-Managing Director of Edrolo (edrolo.com.au), an online education technology company founded in 2011 that builds learning resources for students and useful tools for teachers.

At Edrolo, we’re transforming the way the students learn and teachers teach. Our mission is simple, yet bold: to improve education. Right now, we have over 700 happy schools in Australia as clients and work closely with their leadership teams to ensure they get the most out of our resources. 

We’re Startmate alumni (startmate.com.au/edrolo) and have some of Australia’s & Singapore’s brightest investors backing us (Blackbird Ventures, AirTree Ventures, Jungle Ventures).

Previously, Ben was a fixed income & derivatives investment manager at Goldman Sachs and JBWere, whilst also remaining a tutor for high school students. Ben holds a B.Com from the University of Melbourne and is a CFA Charterholder.

What to Expect

Arrive at the venue around 5:30pm for a half hour of networking while you enjoy pizza and beer. The event kicks-off at 6:00pm where one or two speakers will each give a 20-minute presentation. Afterward, there will be a fireside chat with both speakers, where the audience can ask questions, and the event will close at 7:30pm.
