Description
ONA Coffee's Sensory Courses are designed for anyone who wants to learn more about how to taste, evaluate, and compare their coffees. No tasting experience is required, as this course will take you on a journey through exploring the flavours and textures that come with our coffee!
One of the primary ways that we assess coffee is through a process called cupping. Cupping is the coffee industry's method of evaluating and purchasing coffees with minimal bias. It is also a great way to understand and experience the raw potential of different types of coffees. It involves measuring and weighing out coffee and hot water into bowls and tasting the brewed coffee roasted specifically for that method.
Over this 1.5 hour session, we will explore
How the cupping process works
A systematic way to taste and evaluate coffees
The differences between different styles of coffee eg. origin, processing, variety
With the groups favourite coffee being brewed as a pour-over to showcase how the flavours translate into the final experience.
This session is very relaxed and fun and can accommodate up to 8 people.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$7.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
Please allow a minimum of 48 hours' prior to course commencement to transfer or cancel your course attendance, or you will forfeit your full course and booking fee.
If you wish to transfer to another course or cancel your booking, you must contact the ONA Sydney Team via email hello@onacoffeesydney.com more than 48 hours' prior to course commencement, for a course refund (please note you will forfeit the $7 booking fee!!)
