From humble beginnings, Go West Tours is the result of a passion for providing excellent customer service and providing guests with a memorable experience, not just a destination.

Founded in September 2000, by husband and wife duo Terry and Fiona Smit, the pair set out to change the way tours were delivered in Melbourne. After spending 3 years on a working holiday across Europe, Terry became a tour leader for one of the world’s largest tour operators where he gained expert experience as a tour guide. Provide Guests With An Interactive Experience In September 2000, not long after getting married, Terry and Fiona launched Go West Tours. With a single 21-seat bus and Terry as the driver-guide, they operated their first Great Ocean Road tour with a group of 5 guests.

A terrific experience with the Great Ocean Road Day Tour. Highly professional and value for money high class services. Clean & comfortable vehicle which made the tour enjoyable. Lucy, who was the guide for this trip, made this whole tour a truly memorable one. Her energy levels along with her pleasant, friendly demeanor made this a worthwhile experience. Special shutout to Lucy's anecdotes/stories regarding the history of the places & sights added to the immersive experience. Highly recommended tour.

Babe and I absolutely loved our tour! We had Jon C. as our driver and he was the best! He was knowledgeable about the tour and gave us some history of the places we'd be stopping along the route. He had the best recommendations for food too! I truly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne!

It was the best trip that I never have done in whole my life! Especially tour guide Bree was always kind & nice for me & my family. her driving skill was very safe & smooth too. My memorable moment is to see the 12 apostles at observation deck. It is the same what I saw as my laptop background photo MS Window provides. You guys must visit there & also don't miss a chance to see the koala in nature!
