Sarah is a great teacher, lovely person and runs a fabulous studio. Classes are warm, welcoming and very collaborative with classmates inspiring and helping each other. I’ve been coming to classes at this studio for 2.5 years and really love it. If you are considering a pottery studio to start your pottery journey I highly recommend Sarah Schembri Ceramics in Fitzroy.

Years after first starting these classes, I keep coming back! Sarah creates such a welcoming and positive learning environment where students of all levels can experiment and grow. I am always inspired by my fellow classmates and enjoy exchanging ideas for new forms, techniques and glaze combinations.

This was the second time I enrolled. The first time was terrific. I was unable to attend the second term as I had to travel and stay in country Victoria to make some major and unexpected repairs to my house and help look after an elderly ill relative. I missed the entire course and was told I had to complete the sessions in the term it was purchased. There was no flexibility from the studio which was a real shame. The situation was out of my control but despite writing to them and explaining I was told there was no flexibility. I won’t be back unfortunately as it was an expensive session to lose out on despite loving the first term.
