Description

This is a beginner workshop that teaches you how to build a website for your community, your business or yourself without needing to code!

We will use Drupal, a powerful web application framework, which is also used as a Content Management System (CMS).

You will learn:

- How to build a website using Drupal.

- How to organise and moderate content on your website.

- How to make it look nice!

You will be able to make a website for:

- Handle membership and announcements for your community

- Manage the portfolio of all your projects and galleries if you are an artist

- Organise and promote your courses and events for your institute 

- Sell your products online and manage your online store

What you need:

Bring a computer if you have one, handy, that’s it!

You don’t need to have any technical background or knowledge.

Schedule:

10am to 12am — Learning! 

1pm to 3pm — Building!

The VRI is a project of Traralgon Neighbourhood Learning House Inc in partnership with Reactivate Latrobe Valley Ltd. 

We offer a range of classes, workshops and activities including a growing community garden, artist community gallery - Alt_Art and technical support Fridays - LV Digital Shed. A work for the dole program runs Monday - Friday at the hall and volunteers are welcome to join us in making, sharing and connecting through art, gardening, building, cleaning, cooking and using technology.
